Lifesaving

Marty Silverman, Western Appalachian Region Director, presents Caleb Parnell his award for saving a 68 year old man May 2013. Caleb and his friend, Danny Baker, are credited with using CPR to save a man who collapsed at their school. The man later left the hospital suffering no residual affects from his massive heart attack due to Caleb and Danny's fast action.

Need pads put up? Blue barrels retrieved? Pads adjusted? Ropes put up or down? Lights turned on? And after doing that…have a "fun" toboggan training run down Big E. Mike has his eye on his 50 year pin…(note: that's 50 years of patrolling, not 50 birthdays).

Anna Hermann received the 2015 Regional Young Adult Patroller Award at her High School Graduation. She was also very surprised to receive the 2017 Patroller of the Year Award.
