Outdoor Emergency Care

Is one of the base core curriculum offerings through the National Ski Patrol and Blue Knob Ski Patrol for performing emergency medical and rescue care.  This is an 80 hour course that requires classroom, hands on practical skills and on-the-hill training.

OEC Course Schedule

This NSP Course is run in conjunction with other patrols in the Western Appalachian Region. Independent reading and on-line exams start early June.  Classroom lectures and practical applications begin in July and run through early November. This is a Regional class and has both on-line independent learning coordinated with practical sessions for hands-on equipment training.  Practical Sessions will be held at Blue Knob Resort. Please contact Mike Burk for information on the 2023 course. Pre-Registration & approval is required.
